Cachi

The town of Cachi is in an isolated area in the northern part of Argentina called the Valle de los Calchaquíes in the province of Salta.  The area is marked by a serious lack of evangelical churches and an abundance of Pacha Mama (Mother Earth) worship. As one Cachi resident explained, “We like to read the Bible, but we have no one to explain it to us…”

Marcelo and Nancy Brondo moved to the town of Cachi to plant a church and serve the people. They hope to show that the love of Christ offers an alternative lifestyle to the high alcoholism rate and prolific child abuse that is rampant in the vally.

Leadership

Marcelo and Nancy Brondo were married in 1992.  The Lord worked in their lives and five years later they gave their hearts to Jesus.  They became hungry for the Word of God and began to feel burdened to become active in ministry.  After a few years, they began to pastor a congregation in a very poor neighborhood.

They began to feel the intense calling of God to prepare academically for full time ministry. They sold their small grocery store to finance their studies. God opened the doors and led them to Centro Crecer Church and Seminario Bíblico William Carey, where they are able to learn in a classroom setting and also have practical application in the church.

Marcelo served as assistant pastor of Centro Crecer Church where he and Nancy were involved in discipleship and work with young adults and young married couples, until their move to Cachi.

Needs

Property to construct a home and church ($12,000), monthly ministry support ($1000), a good used vehicle for trips to and around Cachi ($10,000).
